Grand Master Andy Watford, 10th Dan
For over 42 years, Grand Master Andy Watford has run the US TAI KARATE SCHOOL in the Aiken, S.C., area, and for more than 30 of those years, Master Andy Watford has been a member of the school. Master Watford began teaching at the early age of 15, excelling so fast that he became the head instructor of the school by the age of 17, in 1977. Master Watford was the head instructor in the Aiken schools until 1984, when he then became the Master TAI Instructor for the Aiken area and opened up his own location, one he is still in today. Master Watford now holds a 10th Dan ranking (10th degree black belt) under Grand Master Virgil Kimmey and Grand Master David German. Master Watford has touched thousands of lives since the founding of his school (Watford's School of Karate).
Whether performing Karate demonstrations or introductory seminars at schools, festivals, college basketball games, or in local malls and shopping centers, Master Watford and his students take an active role in their local community.

Master Watford holds several black belts in multiple systems and is always willing to dawn a white belt to learn something new. It's this dedication, respect and desire to learn and teach that has made Master Watford one of today's greatest instructors in the Martial Arts. In 2003, Master Watford was inducted into The Sport Karate Hall of Fame and the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Respected and honored by his peers in the martial arts, Master Watford is still a humble student of TAI Karate.

Master Andy Watford is the Master instructor of Richard Stellato the owner and instructor of North East T.A.I. Karate.
