WHAT THE WORDS "TAE" "KWON" "DO" MEAN
"Tae" = Kicking
"Kwon" = Punching
"Do" = Discipline / Way of life
Tae Kwon Do is a martial art that originated in Korea.
Tae Kwon Do is over 2000 years old.

STUDENT CREED
We commit ourselves to mental and physical discipline.
We should be friends with one another and develop strength within our group.
We shall never fight to achieve selfish goals, but to develop wisdom and character is our ultimate commitment.

10 GUIDELINES FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS
1. Greet your parents Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad!? and answer Yes Mom! Yes Dad!
2. Always tell parents where you are going and when you leave.
3. Always be respectful to your parents, teachers and elders and always answer when spoken to.
4. Be kind to your brothers and sisters.
5. Keep your room neat and clean and always pick-up after yourself.
6. Keep your hair, body and teeth cleaned daily.
7. Do not interrupt adult conversations.
8. Be sure to do your homework every day as assigned!
9. Be sure to do all the chores your parents ask of you!
10. Do not play too may video games, watch too much TV, or use the computer for too long (remember to practice Taekwondo!)
