The Nashua City Seal
The city seal of Nashua is represented with the official birthdays of its founding year and its cityship year, along with the primary representations for the 1853 city; The mill industry, the railroad, the Main Street bridge and a the river are poised in the background. In the foreground you will find a horn of plenty, an anvil and hammer, a plough and a bale of goods, and a symbol of modern medicine; all icons of our labor and fortitude. The two clasped hands represent the reunion of northern and southern Nashua. A wreath of laurel, representing our victory over the wilderness, surrounds the city image.
