"the Father of Nashua"

Daniel Abbot, Harvard graduate and law practitioner moved to Dunstable in 1802 and quickly became a civic leader. He coined the name Nashua during a 1803 July 4th celebration held in the Indian Head Village, the developing area just north of the Main Street Bridge.
